This is the entrance hall of the Groninger Museum. A contemporary art museum built in the early 90-s. Main architect was Mendini. He worked together with Philippe Starck, Michelle De Lucchi and Coop. Himmelb(l)au. The museum itself is worth visiting, being a great piece of art by itself. If you want to know more about it, visit this adress.
dear AM3 friends, after a while i found back my eyes again. next few weeks i will be in France, Paris and the Dordogne. In the first week of august i return and join in again. Have a nice summer!
Stunning colours! These pictures seem to recapitulate the museum's decorations.

This pic "shows off" with a lot of energy, geometry, and colors.

Oh this soooo looks like the late 80's early 90's style with the crazy confetti colors.

Escher in the background?

@Twelvebit: Not Escher himself, but absolutely the same concept.
I agree with Rabbit, but you cannot build or rebuild these buildings every ten years when tastes have been changed. Nice picture, I like the dissipation of people thru the entrance hall, insecure and confused, asking themselves what's this, where can I buy a ticket, should I buy one, etc.
