It certainly is Peter, this has to be the first one of these mushrooms that I have seen whole, mostly they have been eaten by some creature or kicked about by Deer in the forest.
Simply beautiful.

@MaryB: Hi Mary,
In our village grow many many of these ones. Not even in the woods, but very ordinary next to some houses and the road. Now it is the end of the season and this was one of the last ones.
